This was the first race with our original motor in the car in a couple of months, and did it have some SMOKE! In the feature we decided to change the way we setup our car; normally we start off like a rocket but then have no momentum left with 5 to go. This time was the opposite, we over compensated, the car was set for a 40 lap feature it seems, since the last 7 laps of the race our car changed! We finally have a setup that makes us steadily increase our speed and not lose it. According to mylaps we seemed to be the fastest thing out there the last 5 laps! Here we come 2011.
It was great to see you and the 35 back out on the track Matt. I was dissapponted with the starting spot they gave you in the feature. But, you was picking them off one by one on each lap. The 35 was throwing flames every now and then I seen. Your Mom was saying that the shock weights were not quite set up right for that track. But, you and the car adapted to it real good. You and the 35 looked Awlsome out there. It was great to watch!
Thanks that night of racing was strictly to find out some setups that would further improve our car during the end of the race. We think we have the hot setup for next year!
Matt,
Saw the good looking picture of the 35 on SJDR. Did not notice sail panels in the picture. You must be saving it for special shows. Stopped in at the shop a couple of weeks ago, talked to Jason, your dad was not around. I’m having shoulder replacement surgery next week. Don’t know when I will be able to scrape mud. Good luck this year at NES, run hard, be smart.
John
Thanks John, and ya we are running the 35 for special shows but we also have a set of wings ready for the car if need be! This should be a real good year.
Matt
