2009:
Twelve top-fives, eight top-tens, finished fifth in points in the Big Block Modifieds at Bridgeport Speedway.
July 15, 2009 - Was invited to attend Andy Hillenburgs "Advanced Short Track Driver Development Course" did 150 laps in a Craftmans Truck and 150 laps in a Arca Car and practiced pit stops.
Received the "Most Improved Driver" of the year in the Modified Division.
2008:
Matt received "Rookie of the Year" in the Modified Division. Had 1 top five and 10 top ten's this season! Matt had a big year adjusting to a big block modified racing and is looking forward to the 2009 season.
2007:
Matt graduated from the "Rookie GM Sportsman" class with #1 honors! "Won Rookie of the Year at Bridgeport Speedway! " Matt earned 5th in points this year in the GM Sportsman division at Bridgeport Speedway.
Matt also went to the "Moody Mile" in Syracuse N.Y. to race in the "Future Stars Sportsman" during the "Super Dirt WeeK" and placed 2nd out of 27 cars and he also qualified 24th and fiinished 13th in the Town Mechanical Sportsman division.
What an awsome week for Matt!
Future Goals: My goal is to race a Big Block Modified next year and finish in the top 5 in points. I eventually would like to race in the Nascar Truck Series then Nationwide Grand National, and of course, the Sprint Cup Series. I have been racing all my life and that is what Im good at! I plan to continue my education in Engineering and attend a college for more studies.
